Assessment of architectures for Automatic Train Operation driving functions

چکیده
Automatic Train Operation (ATO) is well-known in urban railways and gets increasing interest from mainline at present to improve capacity punctuality. A main function of ATO the train trajectory generation that specifies speed profile over given running route considering timetable characteristics infrastructure. This paper proposes assesses different possible architecture configurations through allocating intelligent components on trackside or onboard. The set analyzed based state-of-the-art architectures proposed literature for related Connected Driver Advisory System (C-DAS). Results SWOT analysis highlight have diverse advantages limitations, depending type railway governance technological development existing signaling communication equipment.
